Sometimes the best way to move forward is to look back at where you have been and where you have come from.
This week at Visio Dei Jeff spent some time talking about where we, as a church, came from. What is our ministry philosophy? What is our understanding of the gospel? What is our mission as a church?
All good questions.
One of the main things that stuck with me from the week is that we, Visio Dei, have done a pretty good job “being” the church that we should be and working to live the gospel out with each other. But we need to do a much much better job of “going” and telling people about the gospel.
That’s really my prayer for our church. That we would never be ashamed of the gospel. That we would preach it boldly and loudly and lovingly. We have what people need. We need to believe that and we need to tell people about it.
If you are a member at Visio Dei please join me in this prayer. Would God give us opportunities to spread the good news and would He make us bold enough to take advantage of them.
