Sunday – 6.3.12

Jesus said “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”

We have all been sent to the world around us – across the world and down the street and the world needs the gospel now more than ever.

So missions was the focus this past week at Visio Dei. All throughout the story of Acts, the gospel has been moving forward as God sent people “to the ends of the earth” to share the good news.

This week we heard from the leaders of several organizations based out of Visio Dei. Alan Wilser spoke about SuNica, an organization that he helps lead that does great work in the country or Nicaragua. Jake Taylor spoke about Global Hope India, an organization that is doing incredible work in India to bring the light of Jesus to millions of people who need it. We also heard from Kendal Quinn who recently returned from Uganda. God is doing big things there.

We may not all be called to travel the world and share the gospel but are all called to be a part of the “going”. Our prayer is that Visio Dei would have a huge impact on the world around us.
